History of Nepal

Geographical Location
The total area of Nepal is not more then 147181 sq. Kms and its altitude varies from 70 tp 8848 meters. It has a population of about 23 million people.
Language:
The national language is Nepali. However, educated people can understand and speak English as well.
Time:
Nepal Time is GMT +05:45 i.e. 15 minutes ahead of Indian standard time.
Climate:
Nepal has four major seasons namely;
Winter: December-February
Spring: March- May
Summer: June- August
Autumn: September-November

Newspapers:
The recruitment company apply with Department of Labour Nepal for authorization. The Department of Labour then grants permission after being satisfied about the credibility of the demand and ascertain that the terms and conditions offered are in conformity with government regulations. The permission letter allows the recruiting company to advertise the demand in local and national newspapers and also allows commencing of the recruiting process. Selection Of Candidates:
SLD international Pvt. Ltd. maintains an up-to-date 'data bank' of potential candidates with full information on his/her qualifications, skills and experience. We at Jassim Trading & Servicing Pvt. Ltd. also verifies the credentials of candidates on behalf of clients. The final interview for short listed candidates after pre-screening can be conducted by the employer or his representative or by our company on their behalf. The selection is made purely on merit basis and not on racial, secretarial or considered action. Medical Check-upSelected candidates are sent to an authorized clinic or hospital for a full medical examination. Document required


The required documents vary from country to country but all documents are required to meet the formalities of the Government of Nepal.

Demand Letter:

Addressed to M/s. Jassim Trading & Services (P.) Ltd. mentioning numbers of workers/ personnel required in each category with monthly salaries, period of contract, duty hours, food, accommodation, medical facilities, insurance, air passage and other perks, benefits and facilities to the workers/ personnel.

Power of Attorney:

Authorizing M/s. Jassim Trading & Services (P.) Ltd., to recruit Nepalese manpower and all necessary processes including meeting all necessary formalities as regards to procuring, arranging interviews, trade test, sign all necessary documents and employment contracts required by the laws of the Government of Nepal, to arrange for passports, visa endorsement from the respective embassies and make arrangements for the workers/ personnel passage to the country of employment.

Letter of Authority:

Addressed to the Consulate General of the concerned Embassies, intimating them that M/s. Jassim Trading & Services (P.) Ltd. is the appointed and bonafide manpower recruiting agent in Nepal fully authorized to deal with all visa matters, submission and delivery, with the said Embassy, mentioning the visa number and day of issue, etc. in the letter.

Inter-Party Agreement:

Inter-Party Agreement between employer and M/s. Jassim Trading & Services (P.) Ltd.

Employment Agreement:

Addressed to M/s. Jassim Trading & Services (P.) Ltd., should execute an employment Agreement between themselves stating fully and precisely the terms and conditions regarding demand and supply of manpower from Nepal. This Agreement must be signed by both parties towards acceptance of stated terms to execute the recruitment procedure.

Guarantee Letter:

Guarantee on behalf of the employer company stating that the workers/ personnel will be working in the employing country only.


This letter must be attested by the Embassy of Nepal of the destination country.

Note : the Demand Letter/ Power of Attorney must be duly endorsed by the Ministry of foreign Affairs and Chamber of Commerce and finally attested by the Nepalese embassy existing in the country of employment and Letter of Authority/ Inter-Party Agreement/ Employment Agreement/ Guarantee Letter must be attested by the Nepalese Embassy.

Term and condition of man power
The First Party shall issue a Demand Letter to the Second Party mentioning the number of workers/ personnel requirement, rate of their salary, facilities offered and other services.
2. Both parties herein shall obtain the approval of their respective Governments to import, recruit and supply workers/ personnel as per rules of both countries in regards to the conditions necessary to import and supply. In case of any conflict between Government policies and the conditions of Contract, the deed of Agreement shall be deemed as null-and-void.
3. The First Party shall provide with visa/ NOC work permits of the employed personnel from the government authority together with other necessary relevant and travel documents. In case of non issuance of visa due to any changes in Government policies, the First Party shall be responsible for all recruitment expenses.
4. The salary, perks and facilities of the employed personnel shall be as per Demand Letter shown against each category.
5. The Second Party shall make sure that all personnel recommended for the First Party are examined by (an Employer of the G.C.C.) Nepalese doctor. The candidate must posses a valid certificate to the effect of his/ her fitness devoid of diseases such as AIDS, T. B. and infectious or any other diseases. The Second Party shall submit original medical certificates along with the passport copy.
6. The First Party shall be responsible for receiving the workers/ personnel at the destination airport, in part or as whole as per validity of Visa of the concerned country.
7. The Second Party is the supplier of workers/ personnel and will bear the responsibility for recruitment from Nepal exactly as per trade or invite the First Party or its authorized representative for recruitment of the workers/ personnel within the stipulated period.
8. The First Party agrees to bear the compensation in case of death, injury or sickness of the workers/ personnel employed and also agrees to bear the cost of transportation of the dead body to Nepal as per the labour law of the country concerned.
9. There will be a three months probationary period for all workers/ personnel; after completion of which, if any worker/ personnel is found unfit or unsuitable for the specific job, the worker/ personnel may be terminated and repatriated at his/ her own cost and the cost will be borne be the Second Party.
10. The candidates will be interviewed either by the authorized representative of the employer or the Second Party in case authorization is given by the First Party in writing.
11. The Second Party shall assist the workers/ personnel in matter relating to immigration formalities, medical test and visa stamping from the relevant Embassy and whatever other relevant matters.
12. The First Party ensures to provide the workers/ personnel with free bachelor sharing accommodation, free food and other necessary amenities including medical and insurance coverage.
13. The First Party agrees to enter into Agreement with Second Party to supply Nepalese manpower of different categories such as skilled, semi-skilled and unskilled workers and executive and managerial class personnel specifying number of workers/ personnel required, their specific qualification or skill, experience required through Task Order within the Demand Letter.
14. The First Party agrees to advise the Second party of its personnel requirement from Nepal through fax, email or letter on their letter head, specifying personnel requirements, their respective job description, salaries, perks, facilities, other terms and conditions and the desired mobilization date on the respective site/ destination.
15. The Second Party shall be responsible for short of qualified candidates in conformity with the First Party's requirements notified under Clause 2 above. The Second Party shall notify the First Party of such short-listed candidates who are ready for final interview and selection. The First Party has the right to either send his representative or give the Second Party the right to select, process and send such qualified workers/ personnel at the Second Party's guarantee.
16. Agency Fee: The First Party shall not pay any charges or recruitment fees. The Second Party shall pay the First Party PTA Air Tickets for the candidates who are repatriated before the three months probation period. The First Party should pay the air ticket for the repatriation after completion of the original contract period.
